DESCRIPTION
Tucked away on a quiet street of Cadaqués, Casa Talaia is a unique property that boasts a location within minutes of the center of the town while maintaining an exclusive view and a complete sense of privacy. It is tastefully furnished with an understated natural style while boasting a unique art collection.
Originally built in the 1960s, the property has undergone a complete refurbishment. It has 5 bedrooms + 1 for staff, a fully equipped kitchen, a large dining room, and two living rooms with a functioning fireplace. Outdoors, the grounds have a small private swimming pool, garden, porch, a big terrace, a large table to eat outdoors, and numerous lounge chairs and seating options. The house is a five-minute walk from the nearest cove and pebble beach, and a 10-minute walk from the town center.
Casa Talaia is named after a type of tower common to the area built on an elevated site that served as a lookout for incoming ships. The house is located on an elevated site, with a view of the sea and the surrounding landscape, paralleling the vantage point of a talaia.
FULLY EQUIPPED KITCHEN AND BREAKFAST SERVICE
Dinner parties outside have never been easier to prepare. The kitchen has two fridges, an oven, and a microwave and dishwasher. Make yourself at home while you’re at Casa Talaia — the house has large tables to enjoy your meals indoors as well as outdoors. Every morning, a staff member will be available to serve breakfast and do a basic cleaning service.
SWIMMING POOL AND TERRACE
Our private outdoor swimming pool is sure to provide relief during the hot summer months in Cadaqués. Likewise, the yard has numerous lounge chairs in case sunbathing near the pool or relaxing in the shade is more your cup of tea. The swimming pool is maintained by a local company, ensuring that the water is always clean and properly treated. And its back terrace includes a ping-pong table. Our garage comes equipped with a shower to clean up after the beach and a fridge to pack up refreshments for the day.
LINENS AND TOILETRIES
Fresh sheets and towels are provided for each stay every 4 days. We provide bath towels as well as beach towels and basic toiletries like shampoo and body wash. Other necessities, should you forget them at home, are easily accessible in nearby shops. Likewise, there is a washing machine available to tenants so they can keep looking sharp during longer stays.
ART COLLECTION FOR SOCIAL IMPACT
The art collection throughout Casa Talaia is the result of a collaboration with the online sales platform Kartma.
